Disney Lorcana TCG Gateway is a progressive learn-to-play experience designed to ease new players into the game and TCG space. It’s released at the same time as Shimmering Skies but doesn’t contain cards from this set, only from sets 1-4.
This ultimate beginner’s introduction to the Disney Lorcana TCG includes everything two players need to play right out of the box:
- Two 30-card Starting decks
- 4 18-card Reward Packs
- A two-player game board
- 30 damage counters
- 2 Character movers and bases
- Rulebook and Guidebook
- 2 Deck Tips Pamphlets
Additional cards that players will be rewarded can be added to their decks as they learn about the card types and gameplay. When players have played through all of Gateway, they will have built two standard Disney Lorcana TCG decks they can take and play with friends.
This is a two-player game for ages 8+. It will contain cards from sets 1 to 4, though they look like they will be exactly the same as previous printings. With 132 cards and extras, this represents pretty good value for new players as compared to a starter deck.
The box will also be released in Spanish-speaking countries and will feature the first Spanish-language Disney Lorcana cards.
